Need a good Halloween costume? Perhaps you could dress up as a Venus Flytrap.

Or even better, the Common Bladderwort.

According to this 2009 article from Popular Mechanics (10 most dangerous plans in the world) the Common Bladderwort is an aquatic meat-eater that kill critters like tadpoles by suffocating and starving them inside small bladders that spring open and snatch them up!

If that’s not creepy, I don’t know what is.

Stockholm Art Fair This Weekend!

Look at those happy cats, enjoying live music, art, wine and anchovies(?) near beautiful Lake Pepin. You, too, could be this happy. Just head over to the Stockholm Art Fair this weekend. Wow! Who would miss a chance to visit this dazzling garden? Not you guys, that’s for sure. Stop by for the art fair in the Munsinger Clemens Botanical Garden in St. Cloud tomorrow (Thursday). Megan Moore and Commemorate the Date will meet you there.
